On February 22, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao met in Beijing with the U.S. State Department delegation to the fourth round of China-U.S. consular consultations headed by Ambassador Michael Kirby, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on furthering bilateral consular relations.
