More foreign leaders and heads of international and regional organizations have recently sent letters and telegraphs to Chinese leaders, expressing sincere condolences to the Chinese government and people on the rain-triggered mudslides in Zhouqu County in China's northwestern Gansu Province. They hoped that the people in the disaster area would rebuild their homes as early as possible. Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah, on behalf of the Brunei government and people, extended heartfelt sympathy and condolences to China over the catastrophe and voiced confidence that the Chinese people would overcome the natural disaster. On behalf of the Cambodian government and people, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen extended the most profound sympathies and deepest condolences to the Chinese government and people. Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah conveyed sincere condolences to the Chinese people over the deadly mudslides.
